Alessandra Gasior, DO, FACS, FASCRS, MS

Jenn delivers compassionate, thorough and thoughtful care to patients and families. She goes above and beyond for our highly complex pediatric colorectal surgery patients. Often times these patients require coordination of care with multiple inpatient, outpatient and local hospital teams and Jen rise to the occasion each and every day. When she is working on your team you know you will have kindness and complete comprehensive care.

Kristina M. Booth, MSN, CFNP@Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction@Nationwide Children’s Hospital

She is someone who works hard to provide the best care for her patients/families. She is always learning, asking questions wanting to improve her own knowledge and the knowledge and skills of those around her. She was integral in the process of transitioning discharge education/responsibilities for colorectal patients to the ped surgery APP team at our institution.

Nicole Jenkins, MSN, RN, NP-C@ Nationwide Children’s Hospital

Her commitment to patient care is evident in the thoughtful and compassionate approach she takes with each child, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care during every step of their journey, no matter their race, religion or background. Through her involvement in nursing staff education, she has become a vital resource to her colleagues, offering support and sharing her expertise.

She is a Zero Hero Safety coach where she plays a role in ensuring a culture of safety in the workplace, fostering an environment where both patients and staff feel protected. She is working to protocolize gastrostomy tube care and management in patient receiving new gastrostomy tubes. She is involved in a multidepartment initiative to standardize Lovenox dosing in post -operative IBD patients. She has also assisted with the Development of Pediatric Respiratory inpatient Pathway.

It is clear the Jennifer is an asset to our team as well as APSNA, and her contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the care we provide. She is an embodiment of what it means to be a dedicated healthcare professional, and I am proud to work alongside someone who truly embodies selflessness, excellence and compassion.
