2027 Annual Conference Abstracts
The American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA) Program Committee is now accepting abstract submissions for the APSNA 36th Annual Scientific Conference - Pediatric Surgical Nursing: Advancing Practice, Enhancing Safety, Improving Outcomes to be held April 26-28, 2027 in Glendale, Arizona.
APSNA invites healthcare professionals to submit abstracts highlighting innovative projects, case studies, quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice and original research related to pediatric surgical nursing. Abstracts may be submitted for consideration as a pre-conference session, general session, workshop, or poster presentation. All abstracts undergo blind peer-review by members of the Program Committee.
Abstract submissions should focus on the care of the pediatric surgical patient. In keeping with the conference theme, the planning team is seeking submissions that advance clinical expertise, embrace innovation, strengthen the nursing workforce, and translate evidence into safer care and better outcomes for pediatric surgical patients. Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to, robotic-assisted surgery; pediatric trauma; ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in pediatric surgical care; pediatric metabolic and bariatric surgery; perioperative considerations for patients receiving GLP-1 therapies; complex abdominal conditions, including gastrointestinal disorders and other acute and chronic surgical conditions; quality improvement initiatives; evidence-based practice; and research that advances pediatric surgical care and outcomes.
If you have implemented an innovative practice, completed a quality improvement or research project, developed expertise in an area of pediatric surgical care, or have a compelling case study or experience to share, we encourage you to submit an abstract and share your knowledge with colleagues from across the pediatric surgical nursing community.
Further information regarding the presentation dates, scheduling and additional presenter requirements will be provided after abstract acceptance.

Instructions
All are welcome to submit an abstract for the 36th Annual APSNA Scientific Conference. Membership is not required for submission, selection, or presentation.
Abstracts are to be completed and submitted online via the APSNA website by the appropriate deadlines. Interested individuals must complete two online forms:
Only fully completed abstract submissions will be reviewed.
All submissions undergo blind peer-review by three members of the APSNA Program Committee.
One primary presenter/author should be identified along with all additional presenters/authors. The primary author submits the abstract with the full consent of all co-authors. The primary author will be the contact person for all correspondence and the one invited to present at the event.
All material must be the work of authors listed and appropriately referenced. The submitting presenter/author AND co-presenters/authors must provide Declaration of Financial Relationship information and must read and agree to the following policies:

Presentations should be unpublished, original material, not yet presented at any other meeting.
Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author to present a poster/oral session at the 2027 APSNA Annual Scientific Conference, if accepted.
Presenters/Authors are responsible for all conference registration fees, travel, lodging, and cost of presentation material development, if applicable.
