President’s Message
Dear APSNA Colleagues,
APSNA has been a voice that has shaped pediatric surgical nursing and transform the care delivered to the pediatric surgical patient for over 33 years. I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me and look forward to serving as the new president. As president I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all members of the pediatric surgery community. I want to recognize the foundation laid by our past presidents in making APSNA what it is today.
As we embark on this next year, APSNA remains committed to championing excellence in nursing practice, to advocating for our profession, and strengthening our collective impact on pediatric surgical nursing.
When we unite, our voices on issues that affect the patients and the families we care for are powerful. By working together as a team, we will achieve our shared goals and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Your voices, your ideas, and your participation make APSNA better. I look forward to working with you and encourage you to participate actively. Together, we can create a brighter future for pediatric surgical nursing and for the children we serve. Let’s work together to make a difference!
Respectfully,
Mary Ellen Sheridan, MSN, RN, CNS
APSNA President 2025-2027
