To all APSNA Members,
Fifteen Active APSNA members have submitted a request for a Special Meeting to the Immediate Past President, as required by Bylaws Section 5.2 Special Meetings, stating “The purpose of the Special Meeting is to discuss the extent of the Members’ involvement in organizational strategic planning and decision-making that currently rests with the Board of Directors.”
Per the Bylaws Section 5.4 Notice of Meetings, the APSNA Board of Directors are required to notify all members at least 90 days prior to the date of such a scheduled meeting. This was first announced on November 20, 2019 by email and subsequently in NYCU.
It is important to make you aware that in order to have a special meeting the Bylaws Section 5.6 Quorum require that 2/3 of all Active members, which is a quorum of members, must be present to conduct a Special Meeting. If 2/3 of members do not plan to attend this meeting as required, the meeting cannot not be held and will be cancelled.
As stated we are now providing a mechanism to RSVP for this meeting. You may use this link to RSVP to indicate you are going to attend. If you are not planning to attend you do not need to RSVP. Only affirmative responses are required.
As stated, if 2/3 of members do not RSVP by 12 noon EST on Monday February 17th – the meeting will be cancelled and an announcement will be sent to those members by email on Tuesday February 18th accordingly.
Call in information will be posted under the calendar on the home page.
