Summary of your goals for the position

Align with other pediatric surgical specialties i.e. pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric cardiology, and involve to a greater extent pediatric urology in growing membership and networking across pediatric surgical specialties to form a stronger organization that can credibly provide “position statements” within all of pediatrics.

As more institutions are focusing on quality metrics, we have the technology to connect with each other and our respective institutions in creating databases, combined research studies, and web-based learning opportunities. I believe this is a critical component of growing our organization by providing patients with a valuable resource: our combined knowledge and expertise.
