The Award is presented each year at the annual APSNA conference.

Please consider nominating one of your colleagues. The nomination form can be found on the APSNA website.

Write for the
award-winning AORN Journal:

I want to personally thank you for your involvement with the Pediatrics Specialty Assembly and applaud your dedication to your profession and your patients. I encourage you to share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues by writing for the award-winning AORN Journal. In your area of perioperative practice, we are looking for articles on the following:

> Preparing children for surgery
> Preparing the pediatric child's parents for surgery
> The importance of antibiotic protocols
> Constructing and managing an on-call schedule
> Innovations in technology and patient care
> ECMO in the pediatric population

Sharing your experience, skills, and passion can help thousands of other perioperative nurses be more effective and confident in their patient care. Writing an article for the AORN Journal is a rewarding and prestigious experience—one that can enhance your career and possibly even save a patient's life.

If you are concerned about what is involved in writing an article, don't worry. AORN offers editorial guidance throughout the process. To find out more about preparing your manuscript, please read our author guidelines, which also include a submission checklist. When you are ready to submit your manuscript for consideration, please do so online. Also, please consider joining our AORN Journal Writers' Community for ongoing writing tips and advice and to interact with other Journal writers and editors.

If you are interested in writing an article on any of the above topics or have other ideas for an article, please contact the AORN Journal editorial staff and include "Article Query-Pediatrics SA" in the subject line. I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Patricia C. Seifert, MSN, RN, CNOR, CRNFA, FAAN
