Letter from the President
It is my privilege to extend an invitation to all APSNA members, friends and colleagues, to join us at APSNA’s 27th Annual Scientific meeting, scheduled for April 30th to May 3rd, 2018, at the beautiful JW Marriot Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert, California.
Our Director or Program, Raquel Pasarón, and the Program Planning Committee have been hard at work selecting podium speakers and poster presenters on a wide variety of clinical topics relevant to our practice and aligned to our Mission, Vision, and Values as well as our Strategic Plan. We are particularly excited to announce our keynote speaker Suzanne Gordon, co-author of From Silence to Voice, What Nurses Know and Must Communicate to the Public. An advocate for nurses, Ms. Gordon has a timely message for our profession that is not to be missed.
As the only organization that is devoted exclusive to Pediatric Surgery Nursing it is our hope that you will find this conference will provide you with inspiration and information to take back to your respective practices in order to improve your clinical skills, performance, and help you develop or refine programs and services for your patients. The skills and clinical knowledge gained and the opportunities to network with colleagues nationally, has been the greatest value I have found in attending APSNA meetings over the years. You will also have the opportunity to meet with our partners in Industry who will be in attendance with the most up to date products available to help stay current with technology in order to solve clinical challenges in your practice. It is our aim to give you the tools needed to help you succeed in your professional role caring for surgical patients and their families.
Please join us in Palm Desert to relax, network, learn from the experts, share your stories and meet new friends.
