Dear Fellow APSNA Members:
Attached are the current bylaws of the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA). The bylaws are our organization’s operating manual that defines the function of our board along with the roles and duties of directors and officers, rules and procedures for conducting business, and other essential governance matters. These bylaws are referred to throughout the year and are critically reviewed annually to provide amendments as our organization evolves. Any recommendations for changes are disclosed to the membership 30 days prior to the annual conference and are voted on at the Business Meeting.
This year, the attached bylaws were presented, discussed, and approved at our 25th Annual Business Meeting by the membership on May 14th, 2016. While bylaws documents are generally not distributed publically, making them readily available on our website provides transparency to the membership and accountability of the entire organization.
