

The purpose of the APSNA research grant is to support the development of a research project relating to a clinical aspect of nursing care of the pediatric surgical patient.
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be an APSNA member in good standing for at least one year, with a minimum of two years experience in pediatric surgical nursing.
- The applicant must be actively involved in the care of the pediatric surgical patient, education, or research.
- The topic may deal with any aspect of pediatric surgical nursing.

Responsibilities of the Recipient:
- The recipient will submit annual reports to the APSNA Board.
- The project must be completed within two years of the receipt of the grant monetary award (at the annual conference.)
- The final research report should be in manuscript form within 6 months of completion of the project for submission to an appropriate pediatric nursing journal.
- The recipient shall make a presentation of findings at the annual APSNA conference.
How to Apply:
- Submit the Research Grant application form
- The applicant should submit a copy of their IRB proposal. In the case of a multi-center trial each site coordinator must submit a separate application, and copy of their IRB proposal with a budget as applicable.
- Once a research project has been selected for a monetary award, a packet will be mailed to the applicant with a check request form and conflict of interest disclosure statement.
